On almost all older motorcycles, the choke was operated by a hand lever from the handlebars. Possibly for cost reasons, the choke is now operated directly on the carburetor housing on many carburetor models. This is e.g. with the RC and Northwest/Nordcape models and their Teikei carburetors simply only annoying and from my point of view a dangerous fumbling while driving. Many carburetor manufacturers offer extremely expensive conversion kits for an operation from the handlebars. Dellorto is a laudable exception in terms of conversion costs. Since I have converted almost all carburetor types in recent years, it was now time to take a closer look at the Teikeis and Mikunis and make a conversion myself. My little film should encourage you not to be afraid to develop your own creativity. I will be happy to answer any questions. Greetings HP
