Welcome to more than 30 years of permanent Saturno experience of mine. Got my first Saturno in April 1989. Since then an ongoing love and hate relationship. Beeing retired there is much more time to have a more close look to the different Saturno projects which are still unfinished in the past years. For nickname Rosered 2 (1 meanwhile sold) I looked to my stored bits and pieces and found some lovely parts worth to add to a bike. Basis is a brand new Saturno frame without chassis number, for race track use no problem. Wheels from MARVIC in magnesium, 3-spoke in Piuma style, but in the dimensions of the Saturno wheels. Fork stanchions nitrite coated. WILBERS progressive fork springs. Rear shock absorber by WILBERS (still waiting for) Front brake in 320 mm with 6-piston NISSIN caliper (still waiting for). MAGURA radial brake pump. LSL aluminium handlebars (still waiting for). Footrest system by B&B. Front fairing upper part of DUCATI´s Supermono. Engine in 560 cc. Crank 560, internals from Saturno. New piston/barrel from NW. Saturno head with 38/32 mm valves. Cams from GROSSEWÄCHTER. 40 mm MIKUNI carb. K&N filter. Magnetic ignition very special and old fashioned from KRÖBER/PITSCH. Let´s try. I decided to stick to the original starter with a small and light lithium ion battery to be independent of a starter machine. Exhaust system a balance between Belgium, Netherlands and German workmanship. More to follow.
